Hi,

i have a link module set as dropdown list and link open up a external page in new window.

It works fine. But it reload the page with WRONG header:

<script language=javascript>window.open('https://cs.espreon.com/cs1/EspOrderforms/Company_Order/coorder.htm','_blank')</script><!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en-US" lang="en-US">

Note it put a script on the very first line of redenred HTML!!
This make the page layout broken in IE6,7, and Firefox (slightly).

Hello everyone,

I'm having the same issue as in Adam's post above.  In my case, when the container Print or container RSS icons are clicked, my CSS on several elements blows out a bit in IE6/IE7 Firefox from the <script> entry added above the DOCTYPE.  Here's the HTML:

<script>window.open('/Default.aspx?tabid=116&mid=502&SkinSrc=%5bG%5dSkins%2f_default%2fNo+Skin&ContainerSrc=%5bG%5dContainers%2f_default%2fNo+Container&dnnprintmode=true','_blank')</script><!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

Is there any way around this?  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Keith

Same issue... anyone have any solution for this???? This was a problem cause with the search bar in earlier DNN versions, I'm using 5.01 now and the search bar doesn't do that anymore, but now the links module breaks the page after you click on GO, it only does this when you use the dropdown, and I really need to use the dropdown.

PLEASE HELP.

One more thing, it only does it in IE not Firefox.  What could it be?

it's an issue with the window opening script being injected prior to the doctype declaration, causing the rendering to fallback to html (rather than xhtml). I've created an issue for this @ http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=10766&PROJID=5 and hope to get a chance to fix it in the next few weeks (will probably try to fix a few other issues as well)
