Well, welcome to the community.  The first step is finding resources to help you in your development efforts.  Take a look at the various tutotorials offered by members.  A first stop should be the Resources page on the DNN Site, http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/GettingStarted/tabid/468/Default.aspx .  On this page is a link to some good information, such as tutorials on building modules written by the man himself - Shaun Walker. http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Knowledge/BooksandTrainingVideos/tabid/810/Default.aspx

Now, others have tutorials available on their own site, and I would suspect if you look through the forums you can find more than a few.  Take a look at the either one of the Extend It! forums for posts dealing with just that topic.  Your method is going to be determined by what you have available for development work, and the specific culture you target.  Many international developers work with DNN, so you are bound to find resources that can help.

The lack of response to this post may be due to the forum it was placed into.  This is the forum for using the Newsfeeds (RSS) module, not really for dealing with this particular topic.  So, consider posting in one of the Extend IT! forums to get a better audience to draw responses.

Hope this helps a bit,  Good Luck, and look forward to seeing your first module.
