Hi,

I'm trying to pull a news feed from a Blog module on one of my other DNN sites, and I'm getting this error:

News Feed Is Not Available At This Time. Error message:'>' is an unexpected token. The expected token is '"' or '''. Line 1, position 62.

The site where this Blog sits is secure and requires a registered user login to view it.  If I make the page and Blog module publicly available to All Users, the RSS feed works.  I've tried supplying a login id and password in the News Feed settings but it still fails.  Does anyone know how this can be setup, or if it's even possible?

I'm running DNN 4.6.2 and News Feed module 3.1.1.

Thanks!

Does anyone have an answer for this one?

Hi Tim,

I might be able to help...  Check that the page settings with the blog is set to View for All Users.  If it's restricted then the News reader can't see the feed.

I struck this yesterday as well. As the blog I have is to be for restricted users, I'm going to add another (duplicate) page that will be open to all, but not appear in the menu. I'll syndicate the blog off that.

It's only a temp measure, as I think google & site search will likely see the hidden page, and that's not good.

Cheers,

Kent
