Okay, I now discovered the reason why I had so much problem trying to get this feed explorer to work.

I never realized that this module requires the visitor to have  IE7 (or any other broswer that has the ability to read newsfeeds.) .

Is that really the case?  Can someone confirm this?

I've just used my linux laptop running FireFox and had no trouble accessing the DNN pages that use the feed explorer.

So, no IE7 isn't a requirement for visitors, as much as I can tell.

I am using IE5.5 and it does NOT work.  When I go to another computer with IE7, it works.

However, not all feed are a problem for IE5.5.  Only the ones that come from a google search- the newsfeed that come from doing a key word search in google's news page (ie.  the feed contains lots of &s)

ger,

Apologies...

Might be something in the browser version as you say.  I was not able to see this type of issue as I am using IE7 on my windows workstation.  Could be that IE did change to support feeds internally, and FireFox does support them internally as well.  I'll check on another workstation at the office that's running IE6 to see if that works.

Others can test this out and leave their findings in this thread,  So far,

IE7 v7.0.5730.11 - works

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 - works
