I have just upgraded to 4.9 and the news feeds module 4.0. I had a few feeds in the old module all worked like a charm...

Now suddenly all feeds works poor if they work. Not a big deal I thought I have just too change settings. To prepare myself I read about feeds in windows.

What format do feeds come in?

Windows help tells mee..

The most common formats are RSS and Atom. Feed formats are constantly being updated with new versions. Internet Explorer supports RSS 0.91, 1.0, and 2.0, and ATOM .3, 1.0 . All web feed formats are based on XML (Extensible Markup Language), a text-based computer language used to describe and distribute structured data and documents.

Ok now to settings Xls transform hmm Three other for me unknown values... ok default sounds good.

OK now some feeds shows up some not why? I dont know. Ok I worked hard changing cache time. no a few more feeds showed up. Maybee you just can have one feed if Ajax is present I dont know but it seems to be so ??

Some feeds have I not yet work why?

Dates are not in my languge why?

Standard hmm all other feedreaders give me it right, do they have the courage to brake the standard?!

http://www.svd.se/?service=rss&type=latest is one of the feeds I miss http://www.bignewsnetwork.com/index.php?rss=af4e74a975da4c65 is an other

Why ? I dont know maybee I have to read more hmm module help maybee ok ther where some word I recognize from the windows lesson..

Online help maybee - no its never accurate so I dont take the time..

Please if there is somebody who have time to tell me what to do....

An incompetent feeder

Hi Jan,

The first feed you mention has spaces in the date, the second checks out OK. I'll add them to the list of broken feeds ...

If you find any more just add them to the pinned post at the top of this forum.

Thanks Peter, hope it helps me:)

All other feeds shows up now and then..

Have you tested two feeds on same page? It works rather bad for me if I have two. Sometime one feed will show up.

Do you recommend me to uninstall the new one and reinstall the old one.

I will recommend my customers to use the old untill I have got my own working properly.

Or should I become an expert?

I'll be the last one to stop you becoming an expert ;-) I feel everyone should 'speak' XML/XSL/XSD.

XML/XSL/XSD  I think I got that but...

Cach time in module News its always 30 whatever I put in there...are that value updated from the feed??

Im trying to take the first step to become a feed expert by testing. I found that the value always get 30.

Furthermore if I put two modules on same page it works rather poor.
