[Repost: as when I set Thread Status from blank to Informative, the content of the message was cleared: How very rude!]

My upgrade from 3.x to 4.0 started OK and seems to have completed OK, but that ominous word "Failure" during an intermediate SQL operation made me wonder if all was well. I thought I'd post this in case it might help others.

Each time, you see an issue during execution, there might be an issue, you may not notice in module behaviour immediately, since a script might be enhanced to cover a specific situation or an sproc is called in dedicated use caes only - or even, the issue will show up on next module upgrade. It is always important, that the module is properly installed and an installation issue should not be ignored. The installation procedure has been tested during beta tests and the release process, but it is difficult for us, to cover all possible scenarios.

In your case, the failed statement is used to upgrade existing data, i.e. the db structure seems having updated properly and one or more existing modules might not be upgraded properly to work in new environment, please verify all news module instances and its news feeds.
