Hello. I am currently running DotNetNuke 4.9. I would like to use the News Feeds 4.00.01 Module on my Homepage to display the latest posts from my blogs (several private blogs from individual bloggers). In the blog module settings, I have checked both syndicate and syndicate independently. Following suggestings in other posts on this forum, I have copied the blog list feed url to add into the news feed module. An example of the a copied link would be:

https://localhost/ForumsDotNetNuke/Default.aspx?tabid=86&rssid=1 (this is a development machine).

I am able to add the link, but when the viewer tried to display the link, I get the following error message:

Feed 'https://localhost/ForumsDotNetNuke/Default.aspx?tabid=86&rssid=1' could not be loaded. Error: Download error. This happens both with and without the login user name and password added in the news feed module settings.

I am able to view the blog feed in the Firefox rss internal reader, and am also able to view external rss feeds in the feed reader. Is the news feed module looking for an xml file?

Do I need to do something with the blog feed url to allow the news feed module to read its rss feed? I've read through a lot of posts and can find no clearcut answer to this question. Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi,

Looks like an ssl issue. We'll be looking at authentication soon.

What does that mean? Could you be more specific?

I noticed your urls were https. I use Newfeeds 04.00.01 with Blog 03.05.00 with success, so it's not the Blog module's fault.
