We have just upgraded to the 5.0 core and the latest of everything else, and have a very strange problem.

It appears that a News Module is causing the error, but it only does it 'sometimes'.  Might be on first access as a logged in user, but not consistent enough to prove that.  When the error occurs, the user gets a flash of the correct screen then an error.  It almost seems to be "healing" over time.  Is there something about the upgrade we're missing? The error is as follows:
