We've running 4.0.1 news feed module and 5.1.1 dnn. I would like to know how to configure the cache refresh time. We are looking at a 5 mins interval. Shoud i set it at the feed level or module level. BTW, whats the unit for the setting? I assume its minute.

Cache at module level and feed level are different things.

If you set it at module level, DNN will not render the module, but instead outputs the previously rendered HTML during this time (so it doesn't ask the module for anything)

If you set it at feed level, it tells the module to refresh the feed after that time.

So, you probably need module level here, but if you also use cache at module level, you might get unexpected results...

Hope this helps.

Sorry. Still not clear! Please let me know what happens when -

1. Module setting is 5 minutes, feed setting is 0

2. Module setting is 0 and feed setting is 5 minutes

3. Both are 5 minutes

4. Module setting is 5 minutes, feed setting is 10 minutes
