If you are interested in joining the RSS 'News' team please contact me using my email address i8b4ugothere at hotmail.com.  Before, we get too deep into making any roadmap, I'd like to get a team of interested folks together to discuss, what kinds of features, and the direction for the project.

I'm very open to suggestions, comments, and really feel that we can improve RSS implementation for DNN.  I don't have an ego for anyone to worry about bruising, so feel free to offer your thought openly.   Just maintain a dignity and respect for general feelings without flaming.  Don't oppose without proposing is a good rule of thumb.

You do not have to be the greatest coder in the world to join the project, just be committed to learning and improving.  Of course, we can use expert coders, and don't be shy about your C# skills either.  The beauty of sub-projects is that we don't necessarily have to code in VB.Net to create a module or methods.

Not sure if this project is intended to cover just the RSS reader or the publisher components as well. Someone should consider putting a sticky in each of these projects detailing the scope and purpose of the project (do these forums support stickies?).

Anyway, I will probably be writing a multipurpose Press Release/Announcement/Articles publisher module (VB mostly but not excluding C# for some of it). If you would like to coordinate efforts please leave me msg here and I will send you an email with a features list and the requirements I am using.

I know it's a reply for an almost dead thread, yet this was not clearly noted before: News is not the same as Announcements. News is a module that implements the consumer part of RSS.

Do you know the truth when you hear it?
