Hello All,

Just trying to create a custom XSL for a picasa web album feed and having some issues with the Item Details that Picasa is passing. It is passing a table which is not conducive to my formatting desires. How would I go about parsing their data?

i.e. here is what they pass:
<description><table><tr><td style="padding: 0 5px"><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/11793795..."><img style="border:1px solid #5C7FB9" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-AP..." alt="2011-08-14 - Wyatt's 5th B-Day"/></a></td><td valign="top"><p><font color="#333333">We had a Pirate themed b-day party at the beach for Wyatt. He and Mommy made pirate hats for all of us and then we built a Pirate Ship on the beach made out of drift wood, complete with a Pirate flag. Our new friends Giovanni and Lisa helped us celebrate.</font></p><font color="#6B6B6B">Date: </font><font color="#333333">Aug 14, 2011</font><br/><font color="#6B6B6B">Number of Photos in Album: </font><font color="#333333">23</font><br/><p><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/11793795..."><font color=\"#3964C2\">View Album</font></a></p></td></tr></table></description>

Instead of the table where the images is in one cell and the description in another table cell to the right, I want to re-arrange it a bit....so pull out the table and wrap things in DIVs...any easy way to do this?

Thanks in advance,
Chad

Clickable image block:

<
a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/11793795..."><img style="border:1px solid #5C7FB9"src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-AP..." alt="2011-08-14 - Wyatt's 5th B-Day"/></a>

Detail text block:

<p><font color="#333333">We had a Pirate themed b-day party at the beach for Wyatt. He and Mommy made pirate hats for all of us and then we built a Pirate Ship on the beach made out of drift wood, complete with a Pirate flag. Our new friends Giovanni and Lisa helped us celebrate.</font></p>

Date block:

<font color="#6B6B6B">Date: </font><font color="#333333">Aug 14, 2011</font>

Number of Photos count block:

<font color="#6B6B6B">Number of Photos in Album: </font><fontcolor="#333333">23</font>

Link to view album block:

<p><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/11793795..."><font color=\"#3964C2\">View Album</font></a></p>

You can wrap any of these blocks in a separate <div> </div> container

Cheers

Westa

Thanks Westa for the reply. I know how I would parse it as you outlined, but I don't know how to actually perform the parse. The source RSS provided by Picasa only has one node which contains the entire table which in turn contains the photo image and then other details. If it had separate nodes for each, I could map these in the xsl file.

So I'm guessing you'd have to do some sort of parsing in the .xsl like I see the Rss091ToRss20.xsl does with the date, i.e.

Do you see what I am saying, or am I making this harder than it is?

Thanks again,
Chad

I would need to do some sort of parsing like:
