Hello,

My feed will not refresh unless I make a change within the feed settings or manually invoke the "Refresh Cache Feed" link in the Manage Menu of the module. I have tried manipulating the cahche / page refresh at the page, module, and feed level. None of which work. Additonally, the page refresh does not seem to work either. My test value has been 60 seconds.

When I load the RSS feed page in another browser window it has new content therefore I know its not the feed itself causing the issue.

Additonally I am using Yahoo Pipes as I found creating my own xslt files was way to time confusing.... Anyone aware  of a great DNN feed module that will also allow you to create custom translations / style sheets with little effort?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

please make sure, the scheduler is not disabled (in Host Settings) and the scheduler job is enabled (in Host > Scheduler)

I Checked the scheduler and the frequency set to every every 10 Minutes with a Retry Time Lapse every 1 hour. It is enabled

I am assuming I would want to set this much shorter?

This is confusing to me....

NEXT START TIME  = 1/1/2013 7:45:49 PM  along with every other item listed.....

NEWS FEED SHCEDULE HISTORY =

  • S: 1/1/2013 7:35:49 PM
  • E: 1/1/2013 7:35:51 PM
  • N: 1/1/2013 7:45:49 PM
  • I have no idea.....

I believe I have resolved the scheduler issue by disabling and enabling the scheduled items. Additonally I purged the schedule history, site logs, events, etc....

Do I need to change the frequency time assuming I want the RSS feed to refresh at a interval of ever 60 seconds?

make sure, the scheduler job runs at least as often as you want your feed to be reloaded.
