Hi all...maybe I simply don't understand it, but can someone tell me how to add an rss feed from one page in the portal, to another page in the portal?

What I am trying to do;

1. create an events page, enable syndication
2. create a forum page, enable syndication
3. create an "latest news" page that shows the last posts and the latest events, create page, add news module, select settings
4. go to the forums page, click on syndicate, copy the url
5. paste it in the news module settings

And yet, it doesn't work. Is this the totally wrong approach?

That's correct; I create a page, add the events module, enable syndication. Create a few sample events, click the xml icon. Select the url, copy it.

Then I go to the page with the news module, go to edit newsfeed, select URL (though it seems to me the link is internal, but I need to paste a url somewhere), paste the url.

Nothing ever happens though. Well, nothing, it actually worked once, with the exact same steps, but an update to the events ruined it.

I do not want to use the What's New, because I want to incorporate different feeds and fine tune what and what not...

I have the same problem, cannot link the news feed module to a blog on my site. I would appreciate detailed instructions on how to do this.
