I've not yet had a peep out of anyone at the Xmod forum.. I can't tell if it's a dumb question or they just don't know.

I did try out the 'enableclientscript' property in my form, but the result was the same.

I had the impression that the post I pasted in was implying that other modules fail to turn off this 'causesvalidation' flag. Is that the case with the survey beta?

Regards,
Rob

I have causes validation turned on in the survey module. However I don't feel that this is wrong and that I should turn it off.

Is there a vital reason why it's on? I can't see any value in the behaviour and it's certainly a showstopping feature - if it is a feature.

I agree that it doesn't have to be on. But the module is already in the release process and if I pull it out it will have to start over which could take an additional 3 weeks.

But, also I might decide to use validation in the future. Should every module not use validation because of XMod?

Remember the source is provided and it is easy to install and then turn off yourself. Because it's in the easy to use Website Project format you just install the module, make the change and save the page.

Everyone wins
