Steve,

I have just tried on a new fresh 4.5.1 install (with repository included in the package), it does not work neither....

Maybe I am doing something wrong when installing, but I have some doubts...
- I create a database.
- I unzip the "4.5.1 install package".
- I modify the Server / Database / uid / pwd into the release.config file
- I rename release.config to web.config
- Then, I launch the IIS server.
- I access my URL, and the installation starts (using the wizard, with TYPICAL).
- Then, I install a repository (03.01.10)
- I enable the file type: .hfz in host settings (because I am downloading .hfz files)
- I access the settings of Repository (modifying few values as usual)
- I upload my file
- I try to access it with File Manager = OK (upload is of good size, I can open it)
- I try to download it using Repository = it is downloaded but the file size is null !! File can not be opened of course...

I will try to re-install it again, without specifying .hfz file, and without modifying anything in the repository settings. I will see if it is better.
I feel better, it is not linked to my installation !

Not better on a new fresh 4.5.1, here is what I done, step by step:

- downloading right now DNN 4.5.1 Install Package: DotNetNuke_04.05.01_Install.zip
- Uploading it into my hosting space
- Unzipping it
- Creating a database
- Downloading web.config (similar to release.config, I verified)
- Modifying it (Server / Database / uid / pwd)
- Uploading web.config to my hosting space (root)
- Starting IIS
- Typying my URL
- Installing DNN (Typical)
- Login (as host)
- Installing the repository module I just downloaded in the project page (Repository_3.1.10_Install.zip)
- Adding the module to the main page
- Going into the Settings, but I do not modify anything, I just press UPDATE.
- Created a text file on my computer of 22 ko (with stupid text in it)
- Uploading this file into the repository
- Trying to downloading the file using the repository: same problem = 0 ko (impossible to use the file)

If the file is greater than 30 ko, no problem...

Any idea ??? I admit if I make an error, but i nthis case, I would like to know where I made an error... It seems to me that I have strictly follow usual procedure for a fresh 4.5.1. Oh yeah, I also ask 3 different persons to try downloading the file, they did not manage neither (one on IE7, another one on FireFox and the last one IE6 -- for this, I was obliged to enter the settings, and put download roles = all user).

DV I just tested on my production site without any problems. http://dnn.gmss.org/Home/RepTest/tabid/306/Default.aspx. See what happens when you try to pull the file from there.

Mikeh,

It works perfectly on your site... Could you explain me why ??? Which version do you have (DNN + Repository) ?

Have you seen how I have proceed above ??? I do not think that I make something wrong, did I ?? May the problem be with my hosting provider ??? That's very strange, I have the same problem on a new fresh 4.5.1 install !!! I have downloaded your file, and I have uploaded it into my repository ==> I download it and it is 0 ko again... Crazy.

Do you use DNN 4.5.1 and Repository 03.01.10 ??? Can you check carefully please ?

That site is running DNN 4.5.1 and Repository 3.01.12 but I did try it on another production site I host that is still running 3.01.10. I'd give you a link to that one but it's in a restricted area that needs admin/host credentials.
