Hello,

I was about to officially launch my website, when I suddenly discovered that ALL files in my repository which have a filesize < 30kb can not be downloaded.
I click on download, I press SAVE, then I choose the folder in which I want to save the file and I press SAVE a second time. Then, everything seems to be ok, but I have: 0 bytes in 1 second...

Could someone try to reproduce this and keep me informed (DNN 4.4.1 upgraded to 4.5.1, Repository 03.01.10) ?? If you wish, here is one of the file which have this kind of behavior: 132-bul2.hfz
For information, if I download the file by FTP (taking it directly from my server), the file is ok ==> the problem happens during the download, not during the upload.
And I also tried to upload a TEXT file (size 25.3 kb), it is the same problem !!!!...

Déclic Vidéo
PS: No compression (PageBlaster has been disabled to check) / but I have Multilingual portal, using Locopon module and Apollo module. I did not try on a fresh 4.5.1.

Not sure if this helps...

I went to your site http://declic-video-fx.com, and on the page I saw a single repository item. I downloaded it ( dnnhosting.pdf ) and it downloaded to my machine without any errors, and was 102k in size.

I clicked on the link in your forum post for the file named 132-bul2.hfz and it also downloaded fine without error, 28K in size.

Is there somewhere else, or something else I could test to try and reproduce the error you're seeing? or is what I did sufficient?

Hello Steve,

The site you are talking about (http://declic-video-fx.com) need login to test. I will send you the creditential if you want to test.
The file you tried on my site (DNN pdf file) is >30 ko that's why it works !!

The file 132-bul2.hfz you are talking about is located on a NON DNN site, that's why it works. I wanted you to try uploading this file into a repository, and testing if it was working. But I have just done the test on a fresh 4.5.1 and the problem is exactly the same, it means that the problem is not linked to my site !! Oufff...

I've tested uploading and downloading files both greater than and less than 30K using DNN 4.5.1 and the bundled Repository 03.01.10 with no errors.  And I'm pretty sure that if the Repository 3.01.10 did not work with DNN 4.5.1 I would have heard about it before now :)

So, now that I've spouted the usual developer "it works fine on my machine" disclaimer ...

can you try a test and upload/download one of the files you are having a problem with using the built-in DotNetNuke file manager? let's see if it's a general dnn issue, or relegated specifically to the repository module

Very good idea !! I have just done it, and it works fine with the file manager.
You can try, I have just sent you the creditential to log to my test site.
For your info, you can try with file No 013-slide...
==> It is an issue with Repository... Certainly on my installation, but I am installing a new fresh 4.5.1 right now to test...
