Hi, I know there have been previous threads regarding the need for repository owners/admins to know who has downloaded documents, including the ideas of an email notification each time and also of being able to view a list. All really necessary in my opinion.

However, for repositories in parts of a web-site that don't require authentication, I'm wondering how to get the name of the downloader? I've seen many sites that pop up a form for the user to enter their name and email address before the download is activated. Can this be done perhaps in an upcoming version please? These details could then be recorded in the database (for later viewing by owner/admin) and also an email notification sent if so desired. Useful grist for the mill hopefully?

Has anyone implemented a method of directing the user to a page to capture their contact details before the download commences?
