-- Added support for a DOWNLOAD setting on the FILENAME option for
   Dashboard file-type modules. Setting DOWNLOAD equal to true will
   change the behavior of hyperlinks for files in Dashboard modules,
   triggering the download dialog box instead of navigating to the
   Repository module and displaying the item.

example: dashboard.downloads.xml ( for a Dashboard set to display most popular downloads )

 <Object>
  <Token>[FILENAME]</Token>
  <Settings>
   <Setting>
    <Name>CssClass</Name>
    <Value>normal</Value>
   </Setting>
   <Setting>
    <Name>DOWNLOAD</Name>
    <Value>true</Value>
   </Setting>
  </Settings>
 </Object>

Did someone manage to obtain the result above ? Does it work ???
For me, I still have on my links page the old behavior = if I click on a link in the dashboard (most popular downloads), I am still going on the links page to the item, without opening the link as it should...
:-(
Any idea ???

I just tested and verified that it does indeed work as described using the latest development build.

as always, make sure you are editing the proper file, look at the skin you are using in the module settings page, if the skin name is prefixed by an asterisk, then you need to look in the /Portals/#/RepositoryTemplates/[templatename] for the correct .xml file. If it's there, that's where you need to edit it, if not, then look in the /DesktopModules/Repository/Templates/[templatename] for the .xml file.

Also remember, each dashboard mode has it's own separate html/xml file combination, so check the mode and make sure you're editing the proper file.

Thanks a lot for the text and your check.
This drive me crazy, that's exactly what I am doing... Excepted that I do not have the latest dev build. I am still with:

03.01.14 Build 13179
Released 09.02.2007

But it should work. I will wait this night backup, upgrade to the latest dev build RC3, and check again.
I will also keep the xml file longer than 10 minutes, maybe there are cache problems (I had some cache problems in the past, I never understood that even if I restart the application in Host Configuration + deleting cache on my local computer - sometimes I have strange behavior).

I will keep you informed.

Question, does it also work with repository of type "LINK-EXCHANGE" ?? Or only with files ??
