Hello,

We are on DNN 4.05.04 and Repository 3.01.13.  Our site has repository modules on about 6 different pages.

We would like to be able to put links directly into Text/HTML modules that will switch the user directly to a specific page - with a specific category or specific file selected in the repository module on that page.  The behavior we want is similar to a Repository Dashboard.  However, we want to be able to specify a single, specific, category to have displayed without displaying a complete list of all categories.

Can anyone please provide me with an example of how to accomplish this?

Thanks!

Hello CRMNuke,

To display a single item, it is very easy, just use the [PERMALINK] token. You will then redirect the user to the specific item. For category, there is not possibility today, to my knowledge. Please note that with [PERMALINK], you may encounter some problems (in this case, upgrade to the 03.01.14 but read the disclaimer, it is a dev version). Thank you - that will be very helpful.

I can see that in the dashboard module, there is a way to link directly to a category from another page.  Is there not a way to replicate this functionality within the Text/HTML module?  Or, possibly, a way to create a dashboard template that will select a single category?  We can even use a different module to inject javascript into the page header to support this link if necessary.

Any thoughts?

Could someone explain to me how I'd use this [PERMALINK] token?  I'm sure it's obvious, but I just don't see how it would be used.

Many, thanks!
