Is it possible to share the same data between two separate modules?

I want to be able to enter data into one Repository module and have it show up in another Repository module on another page that has different settings applied.

I'm not certain whether the repository module supports this or not...but try this.

On the other page you want the Repository to show up in, choose Add Existing Module and add a reference to the Repository on the new page.

Change the settings of the new reference.

You'll need to check whether or not that impacts the original instance...some modules will let you do this while others won't.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have already tried this which lead to my question here.

See this thread:

I think I'm going around in circles here. I suspect I need to develop some sort of custom data view module so that I can access the data in the Repository database. However, as a DNN newbie I have no idea how to do this. I have been writing Classic ASP for years and a starting to write for .NET

If someone can point me in the right direction on how to write my own module to access data that is already in the database I would be very grateful.
