I have been having problems with the repository module for sometime ( http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/54/threadid/139852/scope/posts/Default.aspx ) and have decided to take another approach to fixing it. Since it did not appear that anyone had suggestions on how to fix the indexing problem I was experiencing in the above post I decided to take a more drastic approach and un-install and re-install the module.

I am running DNN 4.6.2 and Repository 3.1.13.

Below are the steps I have tried. (Not originally, in the order below, but before writing this request for help I tried the steps below.)

·         I uninstalled the Repository and Repository Dashboard Modules.
·         I also deleted the Repository directory from the portal directory.
·         I deleted the page where the Repository Module had been installed.
·         I emptied the recycle bin.
·         I cleared the cache
·         I restarted the application.
·         I created a new page to place the Repository Module on.
·         I added the Repository Module to the page.
·         The screen refreshes and then reads “The page cannot be displayed…”
o    In the event view there is a Page Load Exception.
o    The inner exception reads: An attempt to attach an auto-named database for file …\App_Data\Database.mdf failed. A database with the same name exists, or specified file cannot be opened, or it is located on UNC share.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Robert

Ok... I continued to do research and found that my problems was that when I upgraded to 4.6.2 I failed to modify the legacy modules connection strings. Once I corrected the connection strings the page displays correctly, but I still am experiencing the index error: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index.

Ok...

I found a solution to the index out of range problem.

I am not sure why it works, but I selected the Store uploaded files in User folders option in the Repository Settings and saved the settings. Later, after sending and deleting a few test files I changed the setting back to false (Do Not Store uploaded files in User folders.) and I was able to continue uploading files.
