Hi Guys,

I'm using a customized version of the businesscards skin for my repository module, but i was wondering if there was an easy way to limit what was able to be searched? for example say i only wanted to search the "Tagline" field, or just the "name" but not the text in the description. Would this be something i could do easily? Has anyone messed around with this before?

Also, how can i change what text is written on the UPLOAD button, i would like it to say something like ADD A LISTING instead... where do i find this?

I love this module by the way, and i can't wait for some of the features comming in the next versions (custom fields, bulk upload, etc...)

you would have to change the source code to modify the list of fields that are searched  ... so "easily" .... no :)

however, to change the text on the UPLOAD button, that IS easy :)  edit the repository.ascx.resx file and look for the UploadButton.Text key, just change the value and save it.

Thanks for the insight Steve, I am not quite at the stage where i'm ready to dive head first into the source code just yet, but i'm getting there. In the mean time, thanks for the tips on where to find the Upload Button Text!

While we're on the subject of the Repository's Search functionality, it would appear that when i search for:  dan test i get all the results that contain dan and all the results and contain test . Is this correct? should i not recieve ONLY results that contain both words?

basically what i'm doing is setting up a small business directory, and i want people to be able to search for boston restaurant  and recieve only results for restaurants in boston. RIght now i get all results from boston as well as all results for restaurants?! strange.

That being said, this search functionality is SO  much better than the standard dnn search ( in my opinion), so keep up with the good work here!

Yes. that is the way that the search works, if you enter multiple words it will match on ANY word. If you encase multiple words in quotes then it will search for that exact phrase, eg: searching for "big dog" will only match items that have the word "big" followed directly by the word "dog".

What I would need to do is add support for the (+), or required, attribute. then you could enter +boston +restaurant and only be shown items that had BOTH words. I will look into adding that in a future release.
