Nope, that is absolutely the case, however that only works in a Dashboard where you click on a file link. it will download the file directly and increment the download count. Once again, the request here is for a LINK that they can use in an article or on another page or in a document that will trigger a download

Ah ok, that's clear now.

Nevertheless, I know this is not the topic of this thread, but I did not manage to make it working the way you say it should work (implementing the possibility to download it directly from the dashboard...) :-(
