Hi,

I haven't upgraded my repository module (or any modules for that matter) on my site because I don't know how they will impact data already in place.  I assume that if I keep the old module in place and upload/install the updated module from my host account it would auto-upgrade, data and all, but wanted to make sure.

I'd like to upgrade to the newest repository because of a download issue that's fixed for Firefox, but want to make sure I don't lose data, or if the upgrade requires that of me, I at least plan to capture information so I can re-upload files and descriptions.

Thanks!

Hi Chris

Yes that is the procedure (installing the newer version via Module Definitions). You shouldn't lose any of your current data. However, it is always good practice to make a backup of your database and of the site whenever doing an upgrade of any kind. That way if things don't work out correctly you can go back to the original version.
