Is there any way that I can restrict the voting/rating of an entry so that each User can only add a rating once (like the survey module)?

Likewise I'd like to restrict the adding of Comments to one per User.

Hi,

Michael Washington shows you how to use personalization to allow a user to only reply once. This is a link to where he explains how this is done with the Survey Module. www.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/Personalization/

I hope this helps.

This is a stopper for me.. aggh.. is there really no setting where someone can only rate something once?

I am about to launch a pretty large site and it is in a competitive market with DNN.
The ratings thing is very very important and I dont want competition sinking everyone's ratings. In a statistical world this is ground zero..

I don't mean to be snide here but this is a planning failure, not a failure of the software.

I'm certain a DNN programmer could make a module for you to meet your needs.  i suggest you reach out and negotiate a statement of work and a price.

To expect a free product to fulfill a commercial requirement is a bit of a stretch.

Annoying the world, one person at a time. (Group discounts Available)

no problems .. I made the code change and sent an updated repository module to him, he tested it and it seems to work fine for him. I've also checked the code changes into the Vault, so it will be in the next release of the module.
