I noticed in going through the repository as it currently stands you have a lot of different implementations possible. It would be great if you would offer a slight alteration on one of the presentation methods 'niftyvideo' to make a 'niftyaudio'.  This would greatly help the way I am try to use this module.

I had a similar need a couple of years ago and modified the nifftyvideo template accordingly - primarily to make use of  reduced size embedded media player object.  The template zip, "AudioLibrary for Repository" may be downloaded from my site: http://www.wesnetdesigns.com/Downloads/tabid/76/Default.aspx. You will need to first register to be able to see the downloads.

The template may be seen in use on the following live site: http://www.bridgtonalliancechurch.org/Resources/SermonAudioClips/tabid/78/Default.aspx

Bill, thanks for this... sounds like it could work for me. You pointed out the exact problem I have (reduce size of the embedded media player). I registered on your site and downloaded the template; however the newbie question - how do I actually upload the module so it shows up as one of the choices for the repository skin? Also, is there a way to change the template (for example, I am planning to use the description field to display the words of the songs that I am planning to upload in my audio library). Thanks in advance. Padmanand

Lasa,

To use the AudioLibrary Repository skin, upload this folder (via FTP, for example) to your site's DesktopModules\Repository\Templates folder. You should see the other skins there with names like "articles", "blog", etc. Once you do this, the new skin is immediately available to the Repository module. At least that was my experience.

Larry

P.S. Bill, thanks for sharing this skin with us!!!

You can also use the File Manager and put the file into your portal directory in a directory called RepositoryTemplates. It should then show up in the list with a * beside the name.
