well I supposed I should have answered your question :) instead of just explaining how it's supposed to work.

Check the following things...
1. look at your scheduler to see when the re-indexer last ran. If you just add a new repository item, then try to search for it you won't find it until the re-indexer service runs OR you manually re-index using the Search Admin page

2. unfortunately, the dnn core search function is not as flexible as most people are accustomed to. Searching for multiple words does not work unless the words are right next to each other. so take a close look at what you're searching for and compare it to the Name (Title) and Description contents for your items.

Another thought ..

look at the error log to see if the re-indexer is throwing any exceptions during it's re-indexing process.

you might also look in the database at the search tables to see if records are being written for your repository modules.Figure out the module ID of one of your repository modules, and see if records for that module id exist in the search tables

I see the schedule is enabled... and I see that it says it is running... but then in teh event log I see a bunch of these...
