I like the way the repository works with catagories (specifically with the articles skin) etc but was wondering if it was possible to update content in the module through windows live writer like you can the blog module.  I would be very interested in a feature like this. It would be especially if I could allow post from windows live writer but not have to allow access to the upload section on the actual module.  if there is an add on or replacement for this module that would work please let me know.  Also if there is a place I can make changes to make this happen by changing code or attributes that would be great.

thank you

wow, that would be great :). the bad news is that 1) I don't know how to do that so there would be some research time involved and 2) even without researching it, I believe we're talking about a fair amount of new code.

I'm trying to focus all my development time right now on version 4.0 so the chance of it happening in the current version is about as close to zero as you could get ( unless someone else wants to work up the code )

However, with the built-in extensibility of v4.0, that type of enhancement will be much, much easier to implement. In fact, it would be a great example, so I'll keep it in mind as I start to put together some sample 'Repository Applications' to try and do something along the lines you've indicated.

Thanks!

Hi Greg,

We have a product called digMeta interfaces Live Writer with DotNetNuke.  We currently don't have a plugin for the repository module, but we have a API where you can make your own digMeta plugins to interface LiveWriter with your DotNetNuke modules.  We have a free developers kit available at www.dignuke.com

Thanks,

Mike
