Apologies if i use the wrong term but I would like to know if its possible to configure the repository to allow users to attach multiple files to each entry (item), an example would be different file versions of the same file (MS word versions and pdf).

Ideally each entry would have at least 1 file but would like the flexibilty to include more and specify what they are labeled.

Is this possible with the current stable repository version or even with V4?

Accepted Answer

In the current (3.X) version, no, it's not possible. You would have to .zip up the files into a single archive file and make that available as the item file.

In version 4.X it is definately possible, in fact my first sample, which I hope to have up and running on gooddogs.com/dotnetnuke in the next couple of days will demonstrate that specifically, as the software downloads application will have multiple downloads (install, source and release notes) attached to each download item.

stay tuned .... it's about to get exciting !
