I currently have a repository that contains over 100 documents/news however there is no way for my end users to search on these items. I have added items to the summary and text field with no sucess on searching for this text is there something that needs to be configured or is this just not included in the site search functionality.

Thanks

If you're talking about the site search function ( the one that's part of the skin and searches all of your modules on all of your pages ) then make sure your search index is updated.  Module content is re-indexed on a schedule, you can check your site's schedule settings to see when and how often module content is indexed.. You can also manually kick off the re-index on the host settings pages.

If you're talking about the repository search ( the search box that sits in the repository module header section ), be aware that the repository search box only searches the repository it's associated with, and only searches the current category.

Let me know which search function you're referring to.. and maybe some more specifics about exactly what you're searching for

Im talking about the site search, for my repository im using the article skin so the search box is not displayed. I went to Host > Schedule however there is not a task for indexing am I in the wrong area?

As far as what im searching for I put the text CBT in the Title, Summary and Article text however when I do a site search for CBT or cbt it returns no results.

Thanks

If you go to the Host->Scheduler page, do you see an entry that looks like this?

  DotNetNuke.Services.Search.SearchEngineScheduler, DOTNETNUKE Enabled Every 30 Minutes Every 60 Minutes 6/9/2008 2:17:26 PM

Yes I see that schedule its set up identical to your example. However I added the text yesterday and still it does not work in the search. I also checked the history and all show as succeeded = True

Thanks
