Hello everybody,

Could you please tell me how can I upload a file via External URL ?? (not by browsing my computer and upload it) and if there is a post that explains it please give me the link.

Thank you

p.s. I am a beginner in DNN, and I know nothing in programming :)

I don't think this is possible, you would need to download the file to your local computer first, then upload it through the file manager or FTP to your website.

I have no problem with this, i have already uploaded the file on my website through FTP (esp. if the file is too large), but the problem is that this module forces me to browse the file on my computer ONLY.

If you are using ver 3.01.14, edit the form.html file for the template you are using and change the [FILE] token to [URLCONTROLFILE]. You can then select a file from your server instead of uploading a file from your local machine. Likewise you can change the [IMAGE] token to [URLCONTROLIMAGE] to select an existing image.

Thank you Steve. It works, but i found that [URLCONTROLFILE] token works only on 3.01.14 version.. and i have 3.01.13 version, so what is the appropriate token ??

Thank you again.
