1. Does this module support streaming video play?

2. If so, any way I can make the splash image as a link (also get rid of the actual video file) so that after clicking this image you can get the next page where the actual video file (streamed) can be played?

Thanks,

note sure what you mean by 'next page'.  The niftyvideo skin plays the videos 'in-place'. It displays the splash image, then replaces the splash image with the video ( yes, it can be streaming video, just enter the path to your .wmv file in the video file field )

Do you mean you just want a link that will open the streaming video in another window? like a popup?

Thanks for the response and sorry about the confusion. Yes what I need is exactly like what you said here:  I just want a link(this link is going to be an image) that will open the streaming video in another window like a popup. Can I do that?

Thank you!

ok, my advice would be to tweak the new 'portfolio' template. The portfolio template displays an image ( which would be the splash image ) and text.  All you'd have to do is wrap a hyperlink around the image tag in the template, then add a tag for the URL of the streaming media file.  I'm booked this evening, but I'll try and put together an example for you tomorrow morning.

Question. Will the streaming media file be an existing file on another server? ( in which case you're just creating a link to it ) or would you envision uploading the .wmv file through the repository at the time you upload the splash and text to the repository?

Yes I would like the .wmv file being uploaded through the repository at the time you upload the splash and text to the repository. Thank you for asking.

I will be looking forward to seeing your example! Thanks a lot for the help.
