HELP PLEASE!!!

I tried deleting the module from the list of modules the same way I have removed all other modules in DNN, but this time it through the so very helpful error...
Server Error in '/' Application...

I should also add that I removed the Repository module before removing the Dashboard module - not sure if this matters.

Please help, I need this site going again.

Eeeek, my guess is that removing the repository before the dashboard was probably the wrong thing to do (I thought the dashboard got deleted when the repository did but don't have the script handy to look at) but I've never tried that. I left my laptop at work tonight so I don't have a demo site or even a Visual Studio or SQL Manager to do any testing with but I'm assuming you had the dashboard on your main page. One of the tables in the database will have a bit column for IsDeleted. I suspect that if you set the dashboard module to IsDeleted=1 your site will work again. I'll jump on my server and see if I can find which table the info is in.

In your web.config if you find the line that says <customErrors="RemoteOnly"/> and change the RemoteOnly to Off you should get more info on what's causing the site to crash.

I found the tables faster than I thought. I'm not sure what you have for viewing your SQL database so I'm going to base it off of SQL Enterprise Manager. You want to view all the rows in the Modules table. That's the one with the IsDeleted bit flag. If you know the name of the Dashboard module on the front page of your site you can just look for the name of that module and set the IsDeleted to 1. If you don't then you need to open up the ModuleDefinitions table and look for RepositoryDashboard in the FriendlyName field and then read the ModuleDefID. Then back in the Modules table look for the ModuleDefID and set the IsDeleted to 1 wherever it shows up.

That said, even if the uninstall script doesn't remove the dashboard you should get the error that you're getting. All that would normally happen is that the module itself would throw and error but the rest of the site would work fine. I'd try setting the web.config like I mentioned above and see exactly what's causing the error first.
