I almost decided to use repository module on my sites after playing with it for several days until I noticed this issue: no matter how many categories I have and how many items/pages within each category, the url stays the same. It seems to be ok with search engines since the content for all the categories will be generated within one page and can be indexed by search engine ( updated: I am not sure about this). But what if I have 5000 items(lets say with images also), are they all going to be loaded within one page even though they can be displayed separated. If so, the page size would huge and the loading speed could be very slow. Besides that, it's also impossible for people to bookmark certain content.

Can someone help me with my concern?

Thanks.

only the items that are visible on the current repository page are downloaded to the client. So even if you have 5,000 items with images, if you are displaying 10 items per page, only 10 items will be downloaded, so page size should not be a concern.

.. and ...Yes, you are correct. Since the Repository uses variables to control the page and items to display, Bookmarking items or pages will not work.

Ok the speed shouldn't be an issue then.

It's also not a big deal if bookmarking doesn't work.

But I had a second thought on search engine indexing part. I think I am not totally sure whether or not the page content can be found by search engine since the url stays the same no matter what category you are browsing. I did some tests yesterday it seemed to be ok but after some more tests I am not sure now. Can you please help me with this?

Thanks!
