Hi Nukers,

Whenever I paste text such as "<<some text here>>" into the repository module, it always changes it to "<<>>". When I paste the same text into a HTML/Text control, the original text is OK.

Seems like the repository module is doing some sort of HTML encoding to strip oout anything between the << >> characters.  Anyone else run in to this?  Perhaps I've just got FCK configured incorrectly?  The thing is, I really need to display the double-greater than, less than signs as part of the text.

Can someone else else try pasting the text "<<some text here>>" into their repository control and see what you get?

Thanks,

Rod

Hi,

Try this (&lt;&lt;some text here&gt;&gt;), without the (). I did not test it; it's just an idea. Let me know if it works out.

Thanks for the reply.  Still doesn't work.

I pasted

&lt;&lt;some text here&gt;&gt;

into the "Source" section of the FCK Editor.  When you toggle this button, both the display and the source look great.

When you click update to save the contents, the display changes to this

<>

When go back into edit it, and click source, you can see that the source has been changed to

<p>&lt;<some here="" text="">&gt;</some></p>

There is some sort of processing going on here with either the Respository, FCK, or both.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help,

Rod

Using DNN 4.9.5.  Has anyone been able to reproduce this?

Many thanks,

Rod
