Hello,

On our intranet, I want to to allow users to upload files, but not delete files.   I don't want to have to moderate all files either.  Is there a way to do this?

i.e. Have an extra permission for "Delete Files" and an extra permission to "Modify Files" ?

Currently everyone who can upload is able to delete or modify every file because they have "moderate" permission.

It'd also be nice if, like the Form and List module, there was an option where users can only delete or modify the records/files they created.

Is there a trick to set it up like this?

this may not totally solve what you need but i used this logic to accomplish something similiar.

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/F...

then added this to the Template.xml

  <Token>[EDIT]</Token>
  <Settings>
   <Setting>
    <Name>ToolTip</Name>
    <Value>Edit this file</Value>
   </Setting>
   <Setting>
    <Name>Roles</Name>
    <Value>Administrators</Value>
   </Setting>
  </Settings>

users cant edit there documents but they can upload with out approval and cant edit/modify anything.

Have a great day!
Larry
