Hi Steve

Also in line with the issue mentioned above, I have the following 'bug' I encounter as well :

When Im logged in as one of the roles other than admin, when I submit a comment, it takes me to a page that displays all the files (including files Im was not allowed to view) .. but if I tried click any of links like download or comment, it takes me back to the page where I only see files that are allowed by my security role.

Do I make sense?
thanks
jam

Hi Steve

Years ago I broke off of the DNN Repository Trunk and started modifying the module to suite our needs. Ironically enough, the day I completed file based security was the same day you started this thread, we even called our token the same thing. I have other things in place that don't allow me to come back but I have been thinking about contributing if you're interested. Other features include PDF Watermarking and Protection Levels, fixed navigation problems when there are multiple Repository Modules on one page and fixed navigation problems when users decided to use their browser's back button instead of the modules back button.

Also, something I need to address now with file based security and the main reason I am posting this, is the What's New Module. It seems to work fine with the Repository Level Security but by now adding a level beyond to the individual file level I'm guessing it's possible that a user could be shown a link to a file that they actually have not been given permission to see let alone download. I haven't completely confirmed this but this is my hunch. I'd be happy to contribute what I find and if anyone has any solutions already that would be great to know about.

Thank you and I'm happy to see someone picked up this project and is making it better!

Josh
