Yes, I believe you would need to turn off personal repository

Ive peeked at the source and found that the Personal Repository needs to be un-checked. Some caching issues later... but now it has been resolved and is working fine. Tx

Hi Steve and other Repository developers,

I have a feature request for the Repository module, and it's pretty much exactly what has been discussed here.

I'm creating a customer support site where we would like to have a file manager that customers and internal staff can upload files to. The personal repository does part of the job, it lets users upload their files so everyone in the 'File Admin' Role can see the files customers uploaded files.

The trickier bit that is currently not supported is as you have been describing here, we want to make files only available to a specific user, and it sounds like that work is done, but not compatible with using the personal repository mode.

Here is my request. In the Manager->Settings part of any DNN module there is a security grid, it list all the rolls on the portal, and also at the bottom lets you add any number of specific users to the security grid and set permissions for them.

It would be really nice to see this security grid (or one that looks the same) added to file upload/update form in the Repository module.

Is it possible we will see in the future, I'm thinking about giving it a bash myself but I don't much about DNN module development, but I'm happy to learn.

Best regards,

David

Hello, I am using 3.5.4 version of the repository module, and I am trying to add the [TARGETUSER] token into my template.html file inside the default2 template folder. Is this correct? The textbox is not showing up?

You place the [TARGETUSER] token in your FORM.HTML file, so that when you upload or edit an item, there will be a textbox on your form where you can enter usernames or email addresses.  Then when users visit your page with the repository module on it, they will only be able to see items where the target users have not been specified, or the values match their username or email address.
