Does the repository module keep track of downloads by user. If so, how can I find that information. If not, does DNN more broadly have a system for loggin user downloads from the repository. Ultimately, I would like to know who is downloading what from the repository

Hello,

The repository is keeping a trace of downloads (how many), but not per user basis.
It's currently not available in the current version (nor in the beta version).

I do not know any system with this functionnality, but I am far from being the best one informed regarding DNN.

Hmm,

The standard/included Documents module has this ability as will as the Links module. In each of those there is a configuration option to track user level clicks. I assume it writes to a standard table. So it seems that DNN already has the functionality.

It would be great if the repository could also write info to that table.

Hello,

I re-checked again the tables.
The only one which stored data regarding click activity is grm.RepositoryObjects.
It contains "Clicks" (number), "RatingVotes", "RatingTotal", "RatingAverage" and other stuffs, but no information regarding who see what...

If you let me know WHERE you see that Documents has this ability (which table store it), I can check on Repository as well ? I am surprised that Documents can track WHO see WHAT (I am working on DNN 5.x, not yet DNN 6.x)

I'm using 5.x. I'm referring to the settings within the dnn standard documents module. if you look at the module settings there is an option to select tracking of user clicks. I don't know specifically what table it's writing that info to. I haven't figured that out yet
