Hi ,

I have downloaded source from dotnetnuke site and try to build that same code but it gives in error in Donnetnuke.service.upgrade.config file

so please help me what i have to do....

I have pasted a error below

Error 3 'GetSetting' is not a member of 'DotNetNuke.Services.Upgrade.Config'. D:\DotNetNuke_4\Website\App_Code\Global.asax.vb 319 46 D:\DotNetNuke_4\Website\

As far as I know you can't use the source from a DNN3 project in DNN4.

Hi,

yes that's right I am not using DNN 3 sourece from DNN 4

what I have done is downloaded a source package of DNN 4 from Dotnetnuke site and configure that with SQL 2005 and trying to open in VS 2005 usinf solution file once I build the code it gives me lots of errors and those error are not from refernce.... those are from coading errors....

I got one error in filemanage file and that was object can't be converted in to string... I have strang that without any changes I got lots of errors....

so please help me in this and how can I debug my customized module..

Ahhh okay a misunderstanding here. As this is the Repository project forum area I thought that you were trying to use the Repository source files (which use DNN3) in a DNN4 project source. I can't move posts so you'll probably have a better response if you post in one of the DNN4 General forums.
