I'm having issues with compression using repository 3.5.6 and DNN 6.02.00.

When I direct link to the repository file with the browser, no issues. When I access the file through the repository module, it downloads with errors and the file size is slightly smaller.

Where can I get to any settings that may be affecting compression?

ok, just got interesting

If I wrap the FILENAME token with the DOWNLOAD setting (ie clicking on title will download file), I have no problems - file is fine. But when I click the DOWNLOAD link created by the DOWNLOAD token, the file is corrupted.

easy come easy go. I'm back to all downloads compressing and corrupting no matter whether I use the DOWNLOAD setting or the DOWNLOAD token.

The site is http://marylandnonprofits.org/dnn/Strengthen/ToolsAssistance/DownloadCenter.aspx

At whits and knowledge end ... help

look at the response header, it will tell you what type of compression is being used. for example: if it's IIS compression or a 3rd party compression solution like PageBlaster, etc.

Once you figure out *what* is compressing your data stream, you should be able to turn it off, or add an exclusion for the repository data stream
