I am wondering if I can create for example 2 users a RCU and a ARC users.  RCU belongs to Downloadable and GroupAdmin roles.  ARC belongs to Downloadable role.  I want ARC to be able to download a file when RCU gives ARC rights to do so.  I want RCU to be able to manage only ARC's rights and no one else.  Is this possible?  Also I want ARC to be able to see only the folder that ARC say's he can see and restrict him from being able to even see the other folders or categories?  Would there be a better module for this than repository?  Also if I could give right to RCU to grant rights to ARC how can I add more users to RCU's control?  Just wondering if anyone could help that would be great.

Thanks,

Matt

Sorry Matt. If you wanting to do this with the Repository then you're in the right place. Now on to your question... No you can't do it. If a group is given moderation status then it's for the whole Repository, they can't just moderate another group. As far as restricting what a group sees in the Repository is going to be a future enhancement.

Thanks for the reply.  That's what I figured.  Do you know where I would need to post on how I could use the dotnetnuke sql database to authenticate users?  I would just like to make my own temporary user management.  I could then modify the sql for the repository to just show files for users who I know should see certain files.  Does that make sence.  If not that's fine too.  I am sure I will figure somethign out.

Thanks for your help, Matt
