What size is the file you're trying to upload? By default DNN has an 8MB limit on filesize but that can be changed in the web.config. I'm not near a DNN install at the moment where I can tell you specifically what line needs to be edited so I'll await your answer and go from there.

How big is the file? Was it over 30MB?

How much RAM is on your server?

What else is going on on your server?

Which version of ASP.NET are you using? ASP.NET 1.1 performs file uploads in memory. This can cause lots of issues and limitations.

Did you or your ISP run any type of security lockdown scripts on your server?

Here is a great article that everyone dealing with Large HTTP File uploads on Windows should read - http://www.microsoft.com/technet/community/columns/insider/iisi1205.mspx. See IIS HTTP GET and Post Limits.

I ran into a problem where URLScan was set for the default MaxAllowedContentLength which is 30MB. Either my hosting company, or some Lockdown tool (Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer?) must have set this up for me.

Good info Michael. I was also going to ask if you could upload the file to the File Manager or if you'd looked in the logs on the DNN site to see if there were any errors there.

Also, What version of DNN you're using plus the Repository version would be helpful.
