Is there anyway to use the UDT module like a forms module? Where users can enter a record but not see the result? Seems like it's not much of a leap, just a change of the default control and visibility stuff...

Hi David,

not at the moment, but it is one of our goals for the next major version.

Hi Sebastian,

Figured I'd play with this and a way of doing this is to add a New Definition to the UDT module, I called it UDT Forms, with only one control (Key: [blank], Title: UDT Form, Source: EditUserDefinedTable.ascx). Then you add a new module to a page... two seperate modules will actually be added to the page, one for Viewing Data and one for Submitting records and you can set visibility however you like through module settings...

Haven't fully tested it yet but it looks like it might meet my needs for now.

David,

of course we are aware of the option to set up the input form as default view, but we also know, that there are additional requirements for a real forms module:

  • email notification
  • moderation
  • granular permissions
  • ...

Cheers from Germany,

I'd be interested in your form module. Anychance you would make it available publicly?
