No, unfortunately not. In our commercial module we went around this limitation by separating data definition and views, but this required a lot more effort.

Hi Sebastian, I looked at your web-site and couldn't find any info about the commercial module (at least in the english areas).

Hi,

You can try some of commercial modules. There are many of them. Module from http://components.init.si can show raw db table data in many ways for example. You can try it for free.

Kind regards,

Primoz

For display of SQL data, there are various modules, even free ones like core module Reports or SQLEnhancedDataGrid from www.tressleworks.ca

Hello,

It sounds like what Jeff is asking is…
Is it possible to have second instance of UDT “masquerade” as another and use the first one’s data.

This functionality would really come in handy where the UDT has a large number of fields or several Rich Text/HTML fields.

I have run into the same requirement and have managed to place 2 references to the same UDT instance into the “Module Aggregator / Tabbed Container” module.

This was done by creating 2 pages that contain references to the UDT to be shared and then on the third page, place the “Module Aggregator / Tabbed Container” module and reference the other two pages in it.

Adding a third reference of the UDT to the “Module Aggregator / Tabbed Container” module produces a multiple instance of same module error.

Also I do understand that DNN does not allow more than one instance of a ModuleID on any given page and that the ModuleID field is a key.
