I created a zip code field and added a Validation Rule and message.  When I try to add a zip code, no matter what I put in the textbox, I get the Validation error message.

I tried these two reg expressions

^[0-9]{5}([\s-]{1}[0-9]{4})?$

^[0-9]{5}([- /]?[0-9]{4})?$

both of which I think are valid and should allow 5 digits or 5-4.   Is anyone able to get the validation to work correctly?  Am I missing something?

could someone else please test these and let me know if you are having a similar issue?

How about this:

^\d{5}([\-\s]\d{4})?$

Note that a hyphen inside of [ ] needs to be escaped.  Also note that this would be for USA zip codes only.

Same error as before.  Did you test this on the user defined table?

I am pretty sure that the reg expressions I provided are valid.

Will someone please test this and see if it working for you?  My problem is not the reg expressions, it is that they are not working in the user defined tables.

Thanks

there seems to be an issue with this feature, we are currently evaluating it and it shall be fixed in next version.
