I am trying to play around with the UDT module and have a problem.

When create a new module and click the "Add new row" button I go to an edit page. Once at the edit page, there are no fields to edit. All it has is the "*required", "Update", and "Cancel".

Oh yeah, and there are no error messages.

Just wondering if this is a problem that has occured before. I've tried googleing it and can't find anything that helps.

UDT version 3.02.00
DNN version 3.2.2

Thanks,

Jeremy,

the name of this module is symptomatic: user defined table, so you will need to define your table, i.e. the columns and their types first. To do this, please choose "Manage Table" from the action menu of the module and add the columns, you need. Afterwards you go back and are able to add data by "Add new row".

Thank you for pointing this out, in future versions we will display a message, that shall assist new users.

I was afraid it was going to be something simple like that.

Thanks for the help!

Perhaps simply not showing the Add new row link would suffice - or, at least in addition to another message. Maybe some "Getting Started" text on the module when no fields have been defined. Just an idea.

Jeremy,

you are welcome to post all your questions - as even simple questions can help us to improve our module and its UI.
