Hmmm ... when i create a new Page and add an existing UDT-Module, then the new module will have the same Module-rights as the original, as well as the same content but i can specify a different display of the content. When i add content in "the original" i can see it as well in the new module.

So somehow the new module must know it needs to load the data from the original and does not have its own personal datastore.

Thx so far for your feedback (and sorry if that seems to be a dumb question i just started with DNN)!

Stefan,

if you choose to add an "existing module" a shadow copy will be created, which is technically a module with two tab modules (Page referenced). module developers can decide, whether settings are module or tabmodule specific, all view settings in UDT are tabmodule settings.
