Is there a way (already built-in) to extract LDAP (well, Active Directory) details into a UDT for use as a team contact list?

No.

"User" inside "User Defined Tables" means that a (super) user is able to define a table on his own. It doesn't deal with users itself.

One way to go would be Reports5.0, as it supports OleDB queries. There is a OLE DB Provider for Microsoft Directory Services, which allows to set up queries agains AD. However I never tried this on my own.

I am using that OLE DB provider to add AD as connection server to my SQL 2000 server though. For perform reasons i don't access the AD directly, instead the SQL Server agent executes a SP every night, which prefetches the needed data into a table.
