As SuperUser can edit, add, change any column, but cannot delete a column (field).  I double-checked permissions.  What am I missing.  I noticed someone posted the same problem back on 12/12/2007, but no replies.  If this is simple, sorry but am newbie.

this sounds strange, do you get the delete icon displayed and an error message or is the delete icon missing?

Please notice as well, that createdAt, CreatedBy, UpdatedAt and UpdatedBy cannot be deleted.

Cheers from Germany,

The "X" delete icon is viewable and clickable and it even pops a window asking me if I am sure I want to delete the column.  Once clicked I get a long error that basically means the process timesout.  ---The error is An error has occurred. Error: Manage User Defined Table is currently unavailable.--- All I have to do is click on the page link and it reloads fine (editable, clickable, everything works, except delete column).

Another very strange problem is that anytime registered users try using search or click past page 1 (by clicking either next, last, or any other page number) nothing happens and the first page simply reloads.  They can actually edit the records on the first page as the permissions indicate.  There are about 200 records.  I have the page setup so only registered users can see the page, view, add, and edit the records.  However, the only time I can make this work for registered users (load other pages, add record icon/link and search work is if I give registered users permission to edit the module under module settings (which I obviously don't want).

I would consider deleting module, readding it, then creating the framework for columns, then import the records, but its my experience in the limited time that I've been using modules is once you have created the module some things are embedded in database that I've noticed are difficult to undo without going in and tooling with the sql tables to get rid of the problem.

Thanks for you help with this strange problem.  Any advise on what to try next would be much appreciated.

Error: Manage User Defined Table is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlInternalConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.ThrowExceptionAndWarning(TdsParserStateObject stateObj) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.Run(RunBehavior runBehavior, SqlCommand cmdHandler, SqlDataReader dataStream, BulkCopySimpleResultSet bulkCopyHandler, TdsParserStateObject stateObj) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.FinishExecuteReader(SqlDataReader ds, RunBehavior runBehavior, String resetOptionsString) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.RunExecuteReaderTds(CommandBehavior cmdBehavior, RunBehavior runBehavior, Boolean returnStream, Boolean async) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.RunExecuteReader(CommandBehavior cmdBehavior, RunBehavior runBehavior, Boolean returnStream, String method, DbAsyncResult result) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.InternalExecuteNonQuery(DbAsyncResult result, String methodName, Boolean sendToPipe) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(SqlConnection connection, CommandType commandType, String commandText, SqlParameter[] commandParameters) at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(String connectionString, CommandType commandType, String commandText, SqlParameter[] commandParameters) at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(String connectionString, String spName, Object[] parameterValues) at DotNetNuke.Modules.UserDefinedTable.SqlDataProvider.DeleteData(Int32 UserDefinedRowId, Int32 UserDefinedFieldId) at DotNetNuke.Modules.UserDefinedTable.UserDefinedTableController.DeleteField(Int32 ModuleId, Int32 UserDefinedFieldID) at DotNetNuke.Modules.UserDefinedTable.ManageUserDefinedTable.grdFields_DeleteCommand(Object source, DataGridCommandEventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

This is what typically happens.  Its not a true timeout issue as I can simply click on the link to get back to the page and the data immediately loads successfully; so the "timeout" part seems a bit misleading.  I want to say its a permissions issue, but where is what I can't figure out; especially with the other problems we are having with registered users as described in my previous post.

Thanks.
